| On August 16th, 2010 at 1340 hours the Westwood Fire Company was dispatched to the 200 block of Waverly Boulevard for a truck fire. At 1345 hours the assignment was upgraded to a truck with exposure to a building adding the Sadsburyville Fire Company, an Engine from the Pomeroy Fire Company and a Truck Company from the City of Coatesville.
Engine 31-2 responded at 1349 with a crew of 5 led by Deputy Chief Reynolds.
Westwood and Sadsburyville units arrived simultaneously at 1352 hours to find the Sikorsky Fire Company on site extinguishing the blaze with their crash truck. This was unknown to us because they don't have our radio frequencies.
Rescue 44 pulled a 200' speed lay to mop up the fire. Engine 31-2 extended a 300' line off the rear into the building to check for extension.
Westwood Chief Scott had command and placed the fire under control at 1406 hours.
Engine 31-2 cleared the scene at 1454 hours. |
