Vehicle Rescue Training
By Sadsburyville Fire Company No. 1
July 14, 2014
On July 14th, 2014, Sadsburyville and Westwood firefighters conducted a joint training consisting of vehicle rescue.
Fire Chief Grossman began the night with a discussion on the objectives of vehicle rescue and how to achieve them. A classroom discussion lasted for a half hour before firefighters went to a car donated by Firefighter Conover to use for the training.
Firefighters conducted the training despite the impeding rain storm. Firefighters completely removed all of the doors, the roof and rolled the dash before the night was over. Great job and effort of teamwork was accomplished by all firefighters operating in the training.
