Gas Leak 2900 Block of Lincoln Highway, Sadsbury Township

On Thursday February 12th, 2015 at 1700 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to the 2900 block of Lincoln Highway in Sadsbury Township for a gas leak outside. Engine 31-1 with a crew of 6 went enroute 5 minutes after the time of dispatch.
Chief Grossman arrived on location at 1705 hours reporting an active gas leak, requested Peco to the scene and assumed Lincoln Highway Command. Fortunately due to the quick actions of the building occupants, the effected and surrounding buildings had all been evacuated upon the arrival of the fire department.
In addition, Peco gas employee was driving past and saw the emergency, a representative stopped and made immediate action to securing the leaking gas line. Sadsburyville units remained on the scene ventilating the structures that were succumbed by the natural gas leak. Units cleared the scene at 1722 hours.

Engine 31-1 and Chief 31 responded to a gas leak outside after a vehicle collided with a building breaking the incoming gas line.
Firefighters clear the area until the gas leak could be secured.
