Just before 0500 hours on August 9th, 2015 the Sadsburyville Fire Company responded to an auto accident with entrapment on Lincoln Highway just West of Octorara Road in Sadsbury Township. Also responding were Westwood EMS, Keystone Valley Rescue and EMS and Medic 93.

Fire Chief Grossman arrived shortly after dispatch and established Lincoln Highway Command, Assistant Chief Reynolds assumed operations. It was determined there was one vehicle involved with two serious patients that had been ejected from their vehicle.

First arriving Ambulance 44-1 took the most serious patient and transported to an awaiting helicopter at Brandywine Hospital and Ambulance 08 transported the second to a local trauma center.

In addition the electric utility company was called to the scene due to a electric pole being compromised and electric wires were down across the roadway. Due to these conditions Lincoln Highway was left closed well in to the morning. There were no power outages reported in the area.
