Emergency Service Display at Gateway Church
By Fire Chief Adam Grossman
April 24, 2016
Gateway Church and Emergency Service Providers teamed together Sunday to present a static display to educate the youth of the Gateway Church. Gateway Church has moved to Sadsbury Township within the past ten years and is located on Cowan Road off of Lincoln Highway just West of the Village Sadsburyville.
The recent theme at Gateway Church's preschool has been learning about community helpers. In response to this the Sadsburyville Fire Company, Keystone Valley Fire Department, and Sadsbury and West Caln Township Police Departments came together to educate them on what some of their community helpers do for them.
Engine 31-1 was on display to demonstrate the equipment found on a fire engine. Participants were even able to use a real life fire hose to shoot water, just like firefighters do to put out fires. Keystone EMS was on display to demonstrate their operation of an ambulance and the police departments had their patrol cars for all the youth to see.
