Auto Accident With Wires Down on Old Wilmington Road

On Friday July 15th, 2016 at 1830 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to the 800 block of Old Wilmington Road in Sadsbury Township for an auto accident with wires down.
Minutes later Chief Grossman arrived and confirmed the report. One vehicle had collided with a pole and completely sheared the pole off and to the ground.
Engine 31-1 and Squad 31 took position on each side of the incident to provide traffic control. Firefighters stood by until Peco Energy arrived to remove the electric wires from on top of the car. Subsequently M and N towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
