“Every year for as long as I can remember, the Sadsburyville Fire Company has driven Santa Claus around Sadsbury Township to spread the spirit of Christmas,” said Fire Chief Adam Grossman.
The holiday season was approaching rapidly for 2019 and once again our volunteers came together to do the annual Santa Tour. “We also had breakfast with Santa at our station on the morning of the tour,” said Amanda Lancaster. Amanda also said, “ Our breakfast would give people an opportunity to spend more time with Santa Claus instead of just seeing him driving by on a fire engine.”
The turnout for the breakfast broke records and we thank all contributors for attending. This is the 5th year of having a breakfast with Santa and we plan to continue the tradition into the coming years.
The tour of Santa went throughout all of Sadsbury Township, our volunteers spent most of their day for these events for the community. You have to remember though if you live close to the Sadsbury Township line but in another municipality, then we did not get to your street and we hope your respective fire company will be bringing Santa to you this year. We did try to get to most streets in Sadsbury but some are complicated to maneuver fire apparatus such as ones with no outlets or cars were parked illegally.
In addition, Sadsbury residents of North Culvert Street and Julie Drive, our friends at the Keystone Valley Fire Department will be taking care of you come Christmas Eve.
Again thank you all and we hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season. The greatest gift you can give this year is ensuring your home has working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. |
