On Saturday April 22nd, 2023, the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched at 15:39 for a brush fire in the 300 block of Compass Road in Sadsbury Township. Brush 31, Engine 31, Deputy 31 and Chief 31 all made the response to the fire where the caller reported a 20' x 50' controlled burn that is now out of control.

Sadsburyville fire units arrived to find a controlled burn that had come uncontrolled and rapidly spreading due to the high winds that hit the area. Spot fires began in wood piles over 50' away from where the original controlled burn was located. Brush 31 made access through a field to stop the fire from spreading. Engine 31 took position on the initial fire and extinguished that fire.

Engine 31 also ran a supply line to Brush 31, some 200' away where Brush 31 was in service with 3 hose lines. An additional tanker from the White Horse Fire Company was called into the scene to supply all units with water.

The fire was under control at 16:04 with all hands working. Units remained on scene until 16:23 mopping up hot spots and racking hose lines. Firefighters returned to station and spent another 30 minutes cleaning hose lines and apparatus. Sadsburyville had 9 volunteers operating at this fire.
