On September 27th, 2023, the Sadsburyville Fire Company and Automatic Aid from Keystone Valley, Westwood and Wagontown were dispatched to the unit block of Octorara Road in Sadsbury Township for a house on fire. Within minutes, the Sadsbury Township Police Department was on scene and confirmed a working fire.

Chief Grossman arrived and established the Octorara Road Command, requesting a working fire dispatch and additional RIT from Cochranville. Rescue 31 arrived first due engine, took the driveway, established a supply line from nearby hydrant and advanced a hose line to division 1.

Ladder 08 arrived first due special, and set up their platform on side A. Crews began ventilation as Rescue 31 crews accessed and extinguished the fire on division 1. Crews searched the structure for occupants and searches were negative. The structure was opened up for ventilation and positive pressure was used.

The fire was quickly under control with all hands working, holding to the units on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office.
