On Monday December 23rd, 2024 at 09:46, the Sadsburyville Fire Company and area fire companies were alerted for a mobile home fire in the 100 block of Barbara Lane in the Phillipsville section of West Caln Township. This assignment was automatic aid to the Wagontown Fire Company.
Wagontown Chief Reber arrived first due to find a mobile home fully involved with flames and requested additional tankers added to the assignment due to no fire hydrants in this area of the township.
Rescue 31 arrived first due, and crews split, advancing one hoseline to each side of the structure. Firefighters were met with heavy fire and did an exterior attack due to the involvement of the structure and the occupant confirming that nobody was in the structure.
Firefighters arrived from additional companies and placed a total of four hoselines in service from Rescue 31 to extinguish the fire. Rescue 31 also had a dual supply of water with tankers on both sides of it.
The fire was under control in about 30 minutes with all hands working. Firefighters remained on the scene to conduct salvage and overhaul of the structure to ensure that all fire was extinguished. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
