Structure Fire in Pomeroy Heights

At 15:54 hours, the Sadsburyville Fire Company, along with automatic aid from Keystone Valley, Westwood, and Wagontown, were dispatched to the unit block of Reel Street in the Pomeroy Heights section of Sadsbury Township for a reported house fire. The caller reported a fire on the back porch that was spreading toward the home.
Rescue 31 responded within minutes. Crews arrived to find a single‑story residential structure with light smoke showing. Further investigation revealed that the fire had been extinguished prior to arrival. Firefighters checked the area of origin and confirmed there was no extension into the structure.
With the fire out and no hazards remaining, the assignment was scaled back to the units on scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
